What Are the Steps to Becoming a First Ladies Mentor?
Female Mentors can serve middle or high school female students. The minimum time commitment is 1-school year. To begin the journey as a First Ladies mentor, follow these steps:
Complete the Online Mentor Application Form.
A Representative from the Mentoring Committee Will Contact You Via Email or Phone for a Mentor Interview.
Browse The Available Mentoring Opportunities and Chapter Locations. Click Here for the Listing
Complete A Background Check with First Ladies and/or the Respective Mentoring Chapter’s School District. Background Checks are Required of all Mentors to Ensure Mentee Safety. First Ladies Will Not Cover This Expense.
Attend A Required Mentor Orientation/Training.
(Once you have completed all the steps, you will be matched within 60 days with a mentee/chapter according to availability and your preferences.)
